Join the English National Orchestra, conductor Paul Bateman and Classic FM presenters Simon Bates & Katie Derham for a superb evening of popular classics, film themes and favourites associates with the last night of the proms.

With special guest stars Hayley Westenra, Julian Lloyd Webber & Vittorio Grigolo this promises to be a magical evening of pure entertainment. The concert will also feature the great songs from West Side Story, in an exclusive 50th anniversary celebration.

Paul Bateman is one of the UK's premier conductors with a wide range of credits. He has conducted recordings with the Philharmonia, Royal Philharmonic, London Symphony, Munich Symphony, Vienna Symphony, City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestras and has given concerts with the BBC Concert Orchestra, the Malmo Symphony Orchestra in Sweden, the Seville Symphony in Spain, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Royal Scottish National, the Dallas Symphony, The Russian National Orchestra (at the Bolshoi Theatre), the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra and with the Ulster Orchestra he conducted the Last Night of the Proms in 1995.

Broadcasting legend Simon Bates is the voice of Classic FM Breakfast, weekdays 8-12pm and Classic FM at the Movies, Saturday 4-6pm.

Simon began his broadcasting career after wrestling unsuccessfully with grammar school and a redbrick university.

 
Katie Derham
 

Katie presents The Hall Of Fame, every Sunday at 5pm.

As well as being a Classic FM presenter, Katie is a newscaster for ITV News. Before ITN, Katie spent four years with the BBC, where she started her journalistic career as a researcher on Radio 4's 'Moneybox'.
